When should I book my move?

This is typically up to you and how flexible your moving date can be. We are happy to speak with you however long or
short in advance of your moving date, even if it's the day before, and see if we can figure anything out with you.

In general, the sooner you can schedule your move (when you know the date that you are planning to move), the less
stressful it will be for you in terms of logistics and the day of the move itself.

Are there any add-on costs or hidden fees the day of the move?

We are transparent with our prices when providing a quote ahead of the move, and do not have any hidden fees. For a typical local move, we will have an hourly rate for movers, a gas fee, and other costs for special items or circumstances. All of these costs will be listed upfront when you request a quote from us.

Will the moving company give me an accurate estimate?

To receive an appropriate moving estimate, it's important to provide our moving consultant with as much
information as possible.

Choosing not to mention or show additional items or circumstances at the time of the estimate that also need to be
moved may not only inevitably increase your total moving cost, but also result in the moving team not being
able to accommodate or help you the day of (especially if there are any special items such as a piano).

Can I move my hazardous items?

Hazardous items (propane tanks, paint cans, firearms, etc) cannot be placed in the moving truck due to risk of
flammability or other dangerous situations, which may also endanger your other items. You may want to
consider moving them very carefully at your own risk.

For any questions regarding your gas-operated, fuel-operated, or other potentially hazardous items, please
contact us we will be happy to assist you.

Do I need to buy insurance to cover my move?

While our movers at Uni-Line Moving take great care to avoid any damage or loss to your items, there can always be
unforeseen events. We are happy to say that we are a fully insured & licensed moving company, and a base
insurance of $0.60 per pound per item is applied to your move at no extra charge.

Should I tip the movers?

It's up to you! While gratuity isn’t included in our pricing, our drivers and staff work incredibly hard to make your move successful. We are a locally-owned and operated moving business, and 100% of our tips stay with our movers themselves. A typical tip is 10% of the move per mover.

Can you guys also handle junk removal?

We are primarily a moving-center company, but we do dump certain household items for an extra service fee. Please
let us know in your call if you are interested in pursuing junk removal alongside your move, and we will work
out the details depending on what kind of items you are planning on dumping.
